Merry Christmas!

December 17, 2010

It is the time of the year when things seems to get crazy.  Shopping, special events, school getting out for the Christmas break.  There are times that I am ready for all of the fuss to be over, then I have to take a few minutes and reflect what happened just about 2000 years ago.  It was then when history was changed forever.  It was then when our Lord God showed His love for us by sending His only son to come to save us from our sins.  It was a time when all of heaven had to be abuzz with the events that were taking place.  Jesus was leaving His place of authority to come here to fulfill prophecy.

So when you think that things have gotten too busy and there is no rhyme or reason for the things that are happening, please take a few minutes and remember this season is to celebrate the news the angel brought in Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord” (NIV).  It always seems to help me get back into the mood of celebrating this crazy time of year knowing that someday those of us who believe in and live for Jesus will be able to see Him in person and celebrate in heaven what He has done for us.

Hoping that you and your family have the best Christmas ever!
