Let’s Try Again…

Hey Everyone,

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this Friday night as we continue our “Discipleship” series.  Unless the Lord has other plans (as he did last Friday night as we had a great time discussing the importance of knowing your Bible), we will be discussing “Prayer”.  Look forward to seeing everyone at 6:45 for refreshments on Friday night!

We have also got a new page that you can check out.  It is for Prayer Requests (the link is at the top of the page).  If you have a prayer request that you want included, please email me at Phil@House2Hope.com.

Be Blessed!

Have You Prayed Today?

As we start a new week, I hope that you are doing things that will make you a better disciple of our Lord Jesus.  If you are wanting to do be closer but you are not sure where to start, I want to encourage you to take a few minutes and talk to Jesus and instead of saying what is on your mind and then going on about your business, wait a few minutes to see what He has to say to you.  That is what prayer is.  To have a conversation with God.  It is also what we will be talking about in detail this Friday night at House2Hope.    We hope that you will join us.  As always, please email me (Phil@House2Hope.com) if you want more details.

See You Friday!

Are You Living It?

I know, you are asking “living what”?  Well the question is “Are you living a new life in Christ?”  That is the question that we will be discussing on Friday night, March 18th.  We will be continuing our series on “Discipleship – Things We Should Know And Teach”.  It should be a great evening of food, fellowship, study, and prayer.

May Our Lord Jesus Continue To Bless You Always!

Time, Where does it go?

Hey Everyone,

I hope that you all have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!  As we enter 2011, I want to remind you of the one thing that we all have that can be used to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  That one thing is time.  We all start every day with the same opportunity to change someone’s life or to even change our own.

You may be wanting to know how I can talk about time when everyone seems so busy, but we always find time for the things that we really consider important.  That may be kids, work, tv, Facebook, shopping, etc…  The thing is, if we really want to make a difference, we need to make sure that we are giving God time each and every day.

I am making an extra effort to pray (and fast) for direction for every area of my life, family, and ministry as we go through January.  I invite you to join me in looking for a renewed excitement about a relationship with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

I also want to invite everyone to join us for House2Hope on the following dates:

January 10, 2011 (Dinner at 6:15 with service following) – Cancelled due to Winter Storm!
January 24, 2011 (Dinner at 6:15 with service following)
February 7, 2011 (Dinner at 6:15 with service following)

More dates will be posted soon!  Looking forward to seeing you!

Merry Christmas!

It is the time of the year when things seems to get crazy.  Shopping, special events, school getting out for the Christmas break.  There are times that I am ready for all of the fuss to be over, then I have to take a few minutes and reflect what happened just about 2000 years ago.  It was then when history was changed forever.  It was then when our Lord God showed His love for us by sending His only son to come to save us from our sins.  It was a time when all of heaven had to be abuzz with the events that were taking place.  Jesus was leaving His place of authority to come here to fulfill prophecy.

So when you think that things have gotten too busy and there is no rhyme or reason for the things that are happening, please take a few minutes and remember this season is to celebrate the news the angel brought in Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord” (NIV).  It always seems to help me get back into the mood of celebrating this crazy time of year knowing that someday those of us who believe in and live for Jesus will be able to see Him in person and celebrate in heaven what He has done for us.

Hoping that you and your family have the best Christmas ever!

House2Hope – November 18th

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to remind everyone that we are joining with Brookside Church of God this next Tuesday night as they prepare Thanksgiving Dinner for the community.   Just let me know if you are able to help or contribute.

Also wanted everyone to know that we are changing our meeting times due to conflicts with many of those attending.  Our next meeting at the house will be on Monday, November 29th.  Dinner will be at 6:15 with the service following.

If we do not see you before the Thanksgiving Holiday, we pray that you and your family are blessed!
