Following God

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions – What about the most important one…

We want you to know that we all make important decisions in our lives such as where to go to school, who to marry, where to work and where we will live.  However, the most important decision you will ever make will impact where you spend eternity.  What is the question that you must answer?  It is simply – Who is Jesus to You?

The answer to this question will determine how you live and what you believe.  You can choose to believe and spend eternity in heaven or you can refuse to believe and spend eternity in hell.  Jesus tells us in John 3:36 (CSB) “The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.” – Jesus loved us so much that He would give His life as a substitute for our sins.  Below are some simple truths that we hope will help you make your decision:

  • God is Righteous and Just (Psalm 89:14)
  • We are sinners and fall short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • Recognize that being a sinner means to be living in lawlessness (1 John 3:4).
  • Realize that while we are guilty, our God is rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4).
  • See that Jesus wants you to hear and believe what He said and did so that you can have eternal life (John 5:24).
  • Having remorse (or being sad that we got caught) over our sins is important, but we can’t stop there… (2 Corinthians 7:10).
  • We must repent for our sins, in other words, we have to change how we are living and making decisions, putting God first (Mark 1:15 and Luke 13:3).
  • Reconciling/Regeneration only comes from God once we realize who and what we are and decide we can’t live that way anymore (2 Corinthians 5:17-19 and Titus 3:5).

Next Steps:

  • If you have asked Jesus to save you – let somebody know (Matthew 10:32-33)
  • If you have asked Jesus to save you – find a Bible Believing Church (Hebrews 10:25 – we will be honored to be your Faith Family or let us know and we can help you find one in your area)
  • If you have asked Jesus into your life – Start reading the Bible (Start with the Gospel of John, then read the New Testament, then start from Genesis and read the whole Bible straight through)
  • If you have asked Jesus into your life – make time to talk to God daily (known as Prayer)

If you have decided to follow Jesus, please let us know.  We want you to know Jesus and enjoy a lifelong relationship with Him!
